Throughput improvement. Various processes, especially manual processes, can be automated. For example in the procurement office, normally an employee needs an item, and fills in a requisition. This requisition is sent to his cost centre manager for approval. Only then does it go thought to procurement. By integrating this simple example with the budgeting system, an electronic requisition can be raised. The system can automatically check for the necessary budget and email it to the cost centre manager for approval without using an electronic form.
